Guestrooms have mahogany furniture and walls and fabrics in russet, coral or plum. Just over the Seine lie the Louvre, Champs Elysees and Arc de Triomphe, all less then two kilometers away. The hotel has been frequented by many authors, including Jean Paul Sartre, Albert Camus, Truman Capote and Gabriel Garcia Marquez. Paris Orly airport is 15 kilometers and 35 minutes from the hotel. L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon is the hotel's main restaurant. For the health-conscious there is a fitness center, and if a little pampering is required, an in-room massage service is available. Based around an open kitchen, which allows guests to watch their meals being prepared, specialties include Ravioli de Langoustines Truffe. A superior wine cellar complements the menu and there is a good range of wines served by the glass. Amenities include high-speed Internet connections, satellite television, newspapers and bathrobes. A covered terrace overlooks the Rue de Montalembert. The Le Signature Bar is a dark wood paneled area, with rugs on the floor and deep armchairs, where guests can relax and read. Styled as a literary hotel, the Hotel Pont Royal is on the left bank of the Seine in the St. Germain des Pres area. The Musee d'Orsay, which houses an impressive collection of Impressionist art, is next door to the hotel.

Directions
The RER rapid train service line C departs from both terminals of Orly Airport and stops at the Gare d'Austerlitz, St Michel, Invalides and Porte Maillot. There are plenty of taxis outside the Arrivals area which run to central Paris. ADP shuttle buses leave from both terminals. Air France coaches stop at the Porte d'Orléans, Gare Montparnasse, Duroc and Gare des Invalides. The Airport Shuttle runs to central Paris. The best way to get around Paris is on the Metro, which is fast and reliable. Tickets can be bought in batches of ten (un carnet). The nearest Metro stop is Rue du Bac.
Driving directions: To drive to the Hotel Pont Royal from the airport, follow the A106 for the center of Paris. Take the exit at Porte d'Orleans. Follow the Avenue de la Porte d'Orleans then turn left onto Place Denfert - Rocherau. Turn right onto Boulevard Raspail then straight on to the Rue du Bac. Rue de Montalembert is the second street on the right.
