Located in a quiet street in the Madeleine district, the Hotel Astor Saint Honore is set in an impressive 1907 building which has a stone façade decorated with typical Art Nouveau ornamentation, arched windows and wrought iron balconies. Guests have complimentary use of the hotel's well equipped fitness center opposite the main building. Rooms feature floor to ceiling windows, 18th century engravings, mahogany furniture, mirrors and striped wall coverings. In the Restaurant de l'Astor, guests can sample gourmet French cooking in elegant surroundings. The hotel is one block from the grand department stores of the Boulevard Haussman and the Champs-Elysees and Opera Garnier are both within 1 kilometer. The hotel also has a 24-hour front desk with multilingual staff on hand to help with planning sightseeing tours. The hotel's bar provides the perfect haven for a drink or light snack, the room is decorated in a 19th century style with paneled walls, a vaulted ceiling of golden stars and custom painted murals by the French artist Raoul Dufy and Dutch artist Kees van Dongen. The oval dining room has a glass ceiling and features 30's trompe l'oeil painting.
